Yesterday I awoke to hail stones knocking on my window. No, there was no prince charming standing beneath my window throwing stones with a sudden urge to declare his love. It was just the unpredictable weather rudely informing me morning had broke. Lying in my bed in despair, reality could not be further away from my dreams.
Moments before the sky had its outburst I was sunning myself by the pool in Krabi, Thailand. Oh dreams! Bumbling about the snow with my head in the clouds, (imaginary sun clouds) for the rest of the day my daydreaming mind was playing a videoreel of summer holidays.

“The cost of oblivious daydreaming was always this moment of return, the realignment with what had been before and now seemed a little worse. ” - Ian McEwan, Atonement
